Shuffle Up & Play with Fans
Oh, hello! Want to Shuffle Up & Play with me (The Professor)? Well, we now have open fan auditions for Shuffle Up & Play, Season 4!
In order to audition, you need to have either supported us on the Season 4 Kickstarter or be a current Patron on our Patreon at the $5 and up level.
We know you have questions, so here is where you can find all the details about this season’s auditions. Here’s how it works!
If selected, you will be flown to our production studio in Portland, Oregon to meet the crew and play on camera for an upcoming episode of SUP.
When you send your audition make sure to include your Kickstarter ID or Patreon username, and use this specific subject heading:
“KICKSTARTER AUDITION FOR SHUFFLE UP AND PLAY SEASON 4”

“PATREON AUDITION FOR SHUFFLE UP AND PLAY SEASON 4”
We are filming multiple fan episodes, but you only need to submit your audition tape once! It counts for all the fan episodes we will be making this season!
HOW TO ENTER
In a video, tell us your name as you’d like us to call you, and where you are from. Then tell us what YOU love about Magic. It could be about your favorite format (and why it's Pauper), or a story from an epic game of commander. We want to know what about this game really makes you light up. Remember, there is no perfect take. We want to see the real, unscripted, authentic person that you are.
The video must be no longer than 3 minutes and unedited. Video and audio quality are not important as long as we can clearly see who you are and understand what you are saying.
The videos are for our eyes only. No part of them will ever be shown to anyone outside of our staff.
Post your video on YouTube as unlisted and email us the link along with your Kickstarter ID at auditions@TolarianCommunityCollege.com with the subject:
“KICKSTARTER AUDITION FOR SHUFFLE UP AND PLAY SEASON 4”

RESTRICTIONS
Videos must be no more than 3 minutes. (Due to the volume of auditions we will be getting, this is very important. If it's even a second longer, you will be disqualified.)
ELIGIBILITY
Only eligible participants may enter the Audition. An eligible participant is an individual who:
is at least 18 years of age as of the first day of the Entry Period
is the owner of a valid email address
is not a member of any guild, union or labor organization that would govern their appearance on SUP
is legally allowed to enter the United States

FAQ
Q: When is the submission deadline?
A: Submissions are now ongoing, so we don’t have a deadline this season. We will be filming multiple episodes, so once you submit your video, it will stay in our pool. We will draw from this same pool for all of our fan episodes. We will likely be selecting our first group of people in November, but if you submit after this first round, you will still qualify for future selections.
Q: I didn’t get selected the first time, do I need to reapply?
A: Nope! Once you are in the pool, you stay there, we aren’t throwing anything out. Maybe you’ll get selected for the next episode!
Q: I want to change the video I submitted, can I?
A: Sure! If you aren’t happy with your audition, you are welcome to resubmit a different video. Just please don’t spam us - only resubmit if you really want to change what you posted.
Q: I was a Patron, but left, do I still qualify? I didn’t support the Kickstarter.
A: You need to be an active Patron at the $5 level in order to qualify. You can always rejoin, but if you are not an active Patron then you cannot qualify (unless you supported the Kickstarter).
Q: Are you accepting submissions from outside the United States?
A: Yes, but please be advised that depending on where in the world you are coming to us from we may only be able to offer partial reimbursement on your airfare, or an alternate stipend. This depends on your country, so if you are selected we will reach out to discuss details and accommodations. (translation: for those outside the USA, some airplane tickets may be so expensive that we can only pay for part of them. We’ll contact you and try and work something out!)
Q: What expenses will be covered if I get selected?
A: Round trip coach airfare from an airport within the United States to PDX, and paid accommodation (hotel) in Portland, Oregon while filming
Q: I have a question that isn’t covered here, where can I get answers?
A: For further information, you can reach out to us through Kickstarter messages, or through Patron messages. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Questions sent to us through other means (emails, social media posts, etc) will be ignored, sorry. Ask via Kickstarter/Patreon!
